Wildlife and Natural Resources
As chairman of the House Travel, Recreation, Wildlife & Cultural Resources committee, I’ve worked to keep decision-making about our land and wildlife where it belongs—with the people who live, work, and depend on it every day. I believe in a balanced approach that protects our natural resources while preserving access for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation that are central to Wyoming’s way of life. That means pushing back on one-size-fits-all policies and focusing instead on practical, locally driven solutions that reflect the realities on the ground. Our goal should always be responsible stewardship—protecting what makes Wyoming special while supporting the communities and industries that rely on it.
Since 2010, I’ve served on the local parks and recreation advisory board and with the Snake River Fund, including as board president, and for the past decade I’ve worked as a firefighter and first responder with Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, where I now serve as a lieutenant. I’m certified in wildland firefighting, swiftwater rescue, structure firefighting, and hazmat, and that experience has given me a firsthand understanding of the responsibility that comes with protecting both our communities and our natural landscapes.
